How time flies Copyright © 2009 GALLUP — It’s been 50 years since they rooted for the Bengals as teenagers in the stands, but the Gallup High School class of 1959 remembers it like it was yesterday. There were 98 in the graduating class that year, and about 40 people, including grads and some of their spouses, attended the weekendlong celebration at Sammy C’s Rockin’ Sports Pub n’ Grille, then at the El Rancho Hotel, then for Sunday brunch at 1959 cheerleader Sharon Hunt’s house in Gallup. Hunt decorated her house in old GHS memorabilia and it was like going back in time.
