HRI gets hearing on uranium mining Copyright © 2009 WINDOW ROCK — In an order filed Monday, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals granted Hydro Resources Inc. a full court review of an April 17 opinion that the company’s Section 8 mine is in Indian Country. Uranium Resources Inc., parent company of HRI, announced in June that it was filing a petition for an en banc, or full court review after the three-judge panel upheld a Feb. 6, 2007, land status determination by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that HRI’s land in the checkerboard area of the Navajo Nation’s Churchrock Chapter, lies within a dependent Indian community.
