Soldier’s family want officials to attend funeral

WINDOW ROCK — The family of the Navajo soldier who was killed in action want to see congressmen at the funeral on Wednesday, said Gilbert Badoni, community services coordinator for Gadii’ahi chapter and a relative of the father of the deceased.

The full military funeral service for Spc. Troy Tom will take place at the Farmington Civic Center on Wednesday beginning at 10 a.m. Tom was killed supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Aghandab, Afghanistan, on Aug. 17.
