GALLUP — Standing water dots practically every hole on the course, and the driving range resembles that old softball field mom used to take the kids to.

To say that there are too many dirt and dry grassy spots is an understatement.

And, at every golf course, from inner cities to country clubs, the playing holes are flagged and numbered.

But not at Gallup’s Fox Run Golf Course, a city operated facility. Unless you absolutely just know the course, there’s no way of knowing where you are on it.
