Jimmie Chatto Sr.

JONES RANCH — Funeral services for Jimmie Chatto Sr., 90, will be 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 28, at Cope Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in family plot.

Chatto died Sept. 24, 2009, in Zuni. He was born July 10, 2009, in Cousin, into the Water’s Edge People Clan for the Sleeping Rock People Clan.

Chatto retired from the Santa Fe Railroad. He was a rancher and silversmith. He enjoyed cooking, fixing chainsaws, singing, playing with guitars, and being with family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Chatto; sons, Henry Sutherland of Gallup, Andrew Chatto of Albuquerque, Tom Chatto, Jimmie Chatto Jr. of Jones Ranch; daughters, Helen Chatto of Chichiltah, Lavern C. Wiggins of Rugtert, Idaho, Rose C. Davis of Wellsboro, Penn., Alice C. Lee of Lukachukai, Pauline C. Wheeler of Chichiltah, Christine C. John, Florence C. Arviso, Patsy Chatto, Jennifer C. Thomas, Shanna Chatto of Jones Ranch; brother, Eugene Chatto; sister, Louise Skeet; 36 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Chatto was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and NaGleebah Chatto; daughters, Kathaleen, Mabel, Darlene Chatto; brother, John Bee; sister, Lena Navajo.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Chichiltah Chapter House, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Donna David

MESA — Services for Donna Jean David, 35, will be 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 28, at family church, Fort Defiance. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery, Gallup.

David died Sept. 22, 2009, in Phoenix. She was bon Sept. 3, 1974, in Gallup, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Edge Water People Clan.

David attended Ganado Primary School, Navajo Elementary School, graduated from Window Rock High School, and attended Mesa Community College.

Survivors include her sons, Stewart Sam Jr., Douglas Sam; daughters, Shante Sam, Shelly Sam; father, Edward David of Cross Canyon; brother, Duane Yazzie; grandmother, Nesbah C. Yazzie of Navajo.

David was preceded in death by her sister, Terri Pat David

Pallbearers will be Brian Hardy, Kevin Hardy, Timothy Yazzie, Levi Biggoise, Tyrone Brown, Jonathan McClanahan.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Super Buffet, Gallup, following services. All attendees will pay for own meal.

Marcie Dennison

GALLUP — Services are pending for Marcie Ray Dennison, 37.

Dennison died Sept. 24, 2009, in Albuquerque.

She was born Dec. 25, 1971, in Albuquerque.

A family gathering will be 2 p.m., Sept. 27, at Red Rock Park recreation hall.
