GRANTS — A woman called police from Taco Bell on Sept. 19, saying her car had been hit by a Jeep and the driver fled the scene, Grants Police Lt. Corey Allen said.

Officers responded to the incident, which occurred around 9:48 p.m., and while searching for the vehicle, found a yellow Jeep some time later — matching the description near Jefferson and Ash streets — some distance from Taco Bell.
