GALLUP — The city and the Gallup Firefighters Association are now in agreement with respect to a new bargaining contract, officials said Friday.

City Attorney R. David Pederson said the document stipulates pay raises for every single member of the union, based on seniority. Pederson, who sat in on Friday’s — and every other such meeting — nearly all-day session with a handful of city staff and representatives from the fire department, said he couldn’t go into a lot of detail on the matter due to the fact that nothing has gone before the full council, not yet anyway.
