Lorna Chester

ALBUQUERQUE — Services for Lorna Jean Garcia Chester, 43, will be 10 a.m., Nov. 14, at Rollie Mortuary. Ernest Curley, Vergina Curley and Deacon Randy Copeland will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., today, Nov. 13, at Rollie Mortuary.

Chester died Nov. 9, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born Nov. 28, 1966, in Gallup, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Hispanic People Clan.
Chester attended Gallup High School and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her son, Josh Chester of Albuquerque; daughters, Monica Benally of Albuquerque, Cheyanne Chester, Jolene Chester, both of Gallup; mother, Louine Fulner; brothers, Leroy Garcia, Raymond Garcia, Manuel Garcia, all of Albuquerque, Christopher Garcia of Chicago, Ill., Ronald Garcia, Leonard Curley, Julian Curley, all of Albuquerque; sister, Renee Curley of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandmother, Pauline Webb.

Chester was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Garcia Sr.; grandparents, Berna and Manuel Berraza, Teddy Curley, Manuel Benally.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Garcia, Manuel Garcia, Chris Garcia, Leonard Curley, Julian Curley, Eric Garcia.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Golden Corral, Gallup, following services.

Robert Freeby

TACOMA, Wash. — Burial for Robert M. Freeby was today, Nov. 13, at National Cemetery, Tahoma, Wash., with full military honors. A viewing was Nov. 12, in Takoma.

Freeby died Nov. 9, 2009, in Tacoma. He was born Dec. 4, 1946, in Gallup.

Freeby graduated from Cathedral High School.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; sons, Michael, Tim, T.J., Tony; brothers, Richard of Albuquerque, Roger of Atlanta, Ga.; nine grandchildren.

Filbert Kinlichee

DEL MUERTO — Funeral services for Filbert Henry Kinlichee, 60, will be 10 a.m., Nov. 14, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Chinle. The Rev. Damian will officiate. Burial will be in family plot, Kinlichee. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m., Nov. 14, at Chinle Catholic Church.

Kinlichee died Nov. 8, 2009, in Chinle. He was born May 23, 1949, in Ganado, into the Black Streak People Clan for the Honey Comb Rock People Clan.

Kinlichee attended Intermountain Indian School, College of Ganado, Dine College in Chinle and Tsaile. He enlisted in the United States Navy. He was a member of Del Muerto Community Planning Committee, Hoozhooji Naataani Organization, and Chinle District Court Peacemaker. Kinlichee was employed at Mora’s Conoco, Hubbell Trading Post, Baldwin Mini-Mart, Navajo Nation Fish and Wildlife, Navajo Environmental Protection Agency, and Chinle Veterans Office. He was in Color Guard, and Honor Guard. His hobbies included fishing, camping, attending traditional ceremonies, being with family and most of all with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his sons, Felix H. Kinlichee, Filvert H. Kinlichee; daughters, Lorretta Hart, Felice H. Kinlichee, Filexis P. Kinlichee, Priscilla Lynn Davis, Sarvera S. Davis; brothers, Benny Wilson, Steven Kinlichee, David Kinlichee Sr.; sisters, Lillie W. James, Bessie James; 10 grandchildren.

Kinlichee was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Clara Kinlichee; brother, Gilbert Kinlichee; sisters, Lucy Kee, Blanche Bia.

Pallbearers will be Chinle Veterans Honor Guard.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Selena Giersberg’s residence, 3 1/2 miles south of Ganado Junction, following services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Filvert and Felix Kinlichee.

Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Teresa Wilson

TOHATCHI — Funeral services for Teresa Arviso Damon Wilson, 61, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, at Mary Mother of Mankind, St. Michaels. The Rev. Cormac Antram, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in family land, Asayii. A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m., tonight, Nov. 13, at St. Michaels Catholic Church.

Wilson died Nov. 10, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born Jan. 22, 1948, in Fort Defiance, into the Honey Comb Rock People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Wilson graduated from Window Rock High School and nursing school in Los Angeles, Calif., and attended UNM. She received her AA in Social Sciences, AA in Liberal Arts from Tsaile Dine College, BA in Social Work from Western New Mexico University. She was employed with Navajo Nation Child enforcement, NTUA, DPA with Window Rock Unified School district. Instructed Adult Education at St. Mary’s and was briefly employed at FDIHS. Wilson was an Entrepreneur and owned Rose Bud Floral. She was an active community representative with District #14, NAC President, GIMA Board member, served on the Indian Youth education committee for JOM, and was a member of the Tohatchi Chapter. Her hobbies include horseback riding, weaving, story telling, cooking, sewing, ranching, farming, food vending, collect antiques and was a Navajo linguistic advisor.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Wilson; son, Jimmie Wilson; daughters, Shawne T. Benally, Cheryl L. Mitchell, Rhianna Wilson; sisters, Phyllis P. Damon, Louise D. Hubbell, Sarah V. Morgan, Mary Arviso-Damon; 11 grandchildren.
Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Florenes Arviso Damon; brothers, Edison A., David, Andrew, Benjamin, Levi Damon.

Pallbearers will be David Draper, Ernest Edward Hubbell, Michael Little, Tim Benally, Ron Wilson, Leroy Peterson.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Catholic Parish Hall, St. Michaels, following services.
