GALLUP — The drunken driving problem in McKinley County showed its complexity Thursday night as tribal, state and local officials convened before the voting public for a DWI town hall meeting, sponsored by New Mexico DWI Czar Rachel O’Connor and the advocacy group Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

The meeting began about 5:30 p.m. Thursday and ran past its allotted two hours, ending about 8:30 p.m. — with many questions left unanswered. An estimated 100 people attended.
