Election money may come from vehicle authority

WINDOW ROCK — The Navajo Election Administration and Board of Election Supervisors are still trying to find a way to fund the special election set for Dec. 15.

The latest proposal to pay for the special election is to use funds from the Navajo Motor Vehicle Authority. Election administration Director Edison Wauneka reported to the board Thursday on the initiative to obtain those funds through a memorandum of understanding.
