Millions in Diné building
Stimulus funds $9.3 million in commercial, industrial projects

WINDOW ROCK — The Division of Economic Development reported that seven projects for American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding were finalized in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2009.

Five projects totaling $9.3 million were awaiting signature at the Office of the President and Vice President, including Bitter Springs Commercial Center in Bodaway Chapter for $900,000; a 3,500-square foot building and infrastructure; Chilchinbeto Commercial and Industrial Site for $1.8 million; Coalmine Canyon Commercial and Industrial Site for more than $1.4 million; and Kerley Valley Commercial and Industrial Site for more than $5.2 million.
