Bookmobile

Early Registration

GALLUP — Beginning Nov. 30 until finals week Dec. 14-18, the Students Services department will register students by department. Registration for new students will begin during the week of finals. Faculty have been asked to tell current students to register during the correct time period. Dec. 3-4: General students, Psychology; Dec. 3-5: Education and Criminal Justice (ESME, Pre-Professional Elementary and Secondary Education, Criminal Justice). UNMG reopens Jan. 4, after the winter break. Spring classes start Jan. 19. Deadline for Spring 2010 admissions applications is Monday, Jan. 11. Starting Tuesday, Jan. 12, a late admission fee of $50 will be in effect. Info call 505-863-7522.

Luminaria Event

GANADO — Annual community luminaria event will be 5-8 p.m., Dec. 3, at Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site, Ganado. Visit with Santa and enjoy holiday treats with family and friends.

Christmas Bazaar

FORT DEFIANCE — Christmas Bazaar will be Dec. 3, at Fort Defiance Presbyterian Church (between Conoco and Car Wash). Navajo Tacos, Chili Stew, Hot Dogs, etc. and bake sale will be at 5 p.m., and activities at 5:30 p.m. Christmas crafts for sale, cake walk, clothing room, white elephant sale. Light Up

GALLUP — University of New Mexico-Gallup will light up the nighttime sky 5:30 p.m., Dec. 3, by turning on the luminarias that outline the campus. Program will start with some brief comments by Sylvia Andrew outside Gurley Hall. The gathering will move inside for hot apple cider or hot chocolate and a short holiday program by the Gallup High School Jazz Band under the direction of Jessica Mullen. Community invited.
