Louie Nohl

DUBLIN, Ohio — Memorial service for Louie Frederick Nohl, 96, were 2 p.m., Saturday, December 12, at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, Colubus, Ohio.

Nohl died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born April 8, 1913, in Espanola.

Nohl was a business graduate of Central Methodist College in Missouri. He was a Son of the American Revolution, a Mason and a veteran of WW II, serving as a U.S. Navy communications officer on the USS Talladega and the USS Marathon in the Pacific. He worked in sales at Swift and Company retiring as district sales manager in 1978. Nohl loved children, and relished visits by his sons and their families. He and his wife loved to travel together in the U.S. and abroad. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, and held season football tickets for many years. He maintained beautiful gardens at his home in Upper Arlington. Nohl became an avid golfer, and played with a group of golfing friends until he was 95.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Riess Nohl; sons, Richard Nohl, Craig Nohl; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Nohl was preceded in death by his son, Roger.
The family received relatives and friends at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, Columbus, Ohio, following services.

Marie Peaches

BLACK MESA — Services for Marie Peaches, 70, were 10 a.m., today, Dec. 14, at at Black Mesa Bible Church. Paul Johnson officiated. Burial was in family plot, Rock Sprngs Ranch, Black Mesa.

Peaches died Dec. 10, 2009, in Kayenta. She was born Dec. 17, 1938, in Black Mesa, into the Bitterwater People Clan for the Manygoats People Clan.

Peaches was a ranch woman and dedicated member of the Black Mesa and Kayenta Bible Church.

Survivors include her sons, Harvey Dayzie, Hobert Tony Dayzie; brothers, Alfred J. Peaches, Lee Grass, Robert L. Olsen, Daniel Peaches; sisters, Rena P. Dayzie, Ruth D. Laughter.

Peaches was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Peaches, Adelaide D. Peaches; brother, Luke Donald; sister, Helen P. Dayzie.

Pallbearers were Hobert T. Dayzie, Harvey Dayzie, Gilbert Dayzie, Kelsey Arron Luther, Ivis Peaches, Hugh Dayzie, Willis Laughter.

The family received relatives and friends at Black Mesa Bible Church, following services.

Roman Rado

PAGE — Services for Roman L. Rado, 90, will be 11 a.m., Dec. 26, 2009, at the All Saints Catholic Church, Mesa.

Rado died Nov. 29, 2009. He was born Feb. 28, 1919, in Page.

Rado served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was known for his kind heart and wonderful smile.

Survivors include his wife, Margarette; daughter Pennie Walser of Eugene, Ore., Tulkie Kirchoff of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren.

Marcy Segay

CHINLE — Funeral services for Marcy Ann Segay, 45, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Potter’s House Church. Artie Aragon will officiate. Burial will be in Chinle Cemetery.

Segay died Dec. 11, 2009, in Flagstaff. She was born Nov. 19, 1964, in Fort Defiance, into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Near Water People Clan.

Survivors include her daughter, Karey Lynn Billy; sisters, Margorie Segay, Marie Begay, Molly Segay; four grandchildren.

Segay was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberlynn Billy; parents, Kee Chee Segay, Zonnie Segay; sisters, Martha Gorman, Mary Ann Segay, Margaret Segay; brothers, Jimmy Segay, Jerry Segay.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Begay, Duane Shorty, Jerold Segay, Joei Begay, Jerome Segay, Jordan Carroll.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Segay’s residence, 1/4 miles north of old Chinle Police Dept.

Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Francisco Seldner

ALBUQUERQUE — Services are pending for Francisco H. Seldner, 72.

Seldner died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009.
Seldner was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Violanda Seldner; daughters, Selina Romero, Arlene Calcutt; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Seldner was preceded in death by his mother, Olga Hensley; son, Francisco (Pancho) Seldner.

Lily Watson

BLACK HAT — Services for Lily Watson, 69, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Cope Memorial Chapel. The Rev. John Thumma will officiate.

Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m., Dec. 15, at Cope Memorial Chapel.

Watson died Dec. 9, 2009, in Gallup. She was born April 19, 1940, in Wild Cat, into the Salt People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Watson was a homemaker, was self employed and did beading and sewing. She was a member of the Hooghan Nizhoni Church for 16 years.

Survivors include her brother, Juan Watson; sisters, Nora W. James, Clara W. Yazzie; three grandchildren.

Watson was preceded in death by John Kee Watson; Alice Kee Watson; parents, Tom Watson, Mary Scott Watson.

Pallbearers will be Jim Yazzie, Ernest Yazzie, Kevin Billy, Gil Yazze, Herman Yazzie, Henderson James.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Hooghan Nizhoni Church, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
