WINDOW ROCK — The tribal special election on the Navajo Nation Council reduction and line-item veto power for the president is being conducted Tuesday, and advocates and opponents have been getting out their message to voters.

The special election is being held Tuesday at the tribe’s 110 chapters. The polls will open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Officials at the polling sites start calling in results to the central Navajo Election Administration after the polls close.
