Wilson Chee

TOHATCHI — Funeral services for Wilson Chee, 76, will be 10 a.m., Aug. 14, at the Tohatchi Catholic Church. Sister Marlene Koatche, O.S.F., will officiate. Burial will be in Tohatchi Cemetery. Visitation will be at Tohatchi Catholic Church.

Chee died Aug. 9, 2008, in Gallup. He was born Nov. 11, 1931, in Sheep Springs, into the Water’s Edge People Clan for the Folded Arms People Clan.

Chee worked for the railroad. He worked as an adult home care for the Navajo Nation. He was a roadman and a crystal gazer. His favorite hobbies included training horses, bull riding, playing Navajo ten. He enjoyed shoegames and yei-bi-chei dances in the winter and squaw dances in the summer.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Chee; sons, Wilsey Chee, Jasper Chee, Roy Chee, all of Buffalo Springs, Wilfred Chee of Peach Springs; daughter, Rose Mary Wood of Buffalo Springs; brothers, Harry Chee of Sheep Springs, Bill Chee, Roy Chee of Albuquerque, Charlie Chee of Portland, Ore., Glenn Chee of Cortez, Colo.; sisters, Helena Dennison, Anna Chee of Sheep Springs; 14 grandchildren.

Chee was preceded in death by his brothers, James Chee, Johnny Chee; sisters, Connie Tsosie, Sarah Chee; parents, Hoskie and Mary Chee.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Toney, Raymond Begay, Wilsey Chee, Jasper Chee, Wilfred Chee, Roy Chee.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Tohatchi Chapter House, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Marie Manuelito

CLEVELAND, N.M. — Services for Marie Manuelito, 80, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Newcomb Pentecostal Church, Newcomb. The Rev. David Darrah will officiate. Burial will be in family land, Newcomb.

Manuelito died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, in Las Vegas, N.M. She was born Sept. 10, 1928, in Many Farms, into the Weaver People Clan for the Blackstreet Wood People Clan.

Manuelito lived in Gallup, Denver, and Houston. She enjoyed traveling with family, which allowed her to see places such as Germany, France and the Netherlands. Later, she returned back to New Mexico.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Manuelito; son, Paul Talk; daughters, Daisy Tobias, Barbara Gutierrez, Betty Montelongo, Beverly Manuelito; brothers, Harry Talk Jr., Kenneth Talk; sisters, Mattie Singer, Dorothy Cantu, Rose Talk; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.

Manuelito was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Bizard, Nellie Talk; brothers, Allen Talk; sisters, Rose Marie Talk, Mae Skinner.

Pallbearers will be Joe Tobias, Daniel Gutierrez, Robert Morales, Eric Tobias, Ramon Montelongo III, and Bobby Talk.

The family will meet 5 p.m., in Newcomb.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Harrison Wilson

LITTLEWATER — Funeral services for Harrison J. Wilson, 41, will be 10 a.m., Aug. 14, at the Cope Memorial Chapel. Benson Becenti will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Lake Community Cemetery.

Wilson died Aug. 9, 2008, in Smith Lake. He was born March 25, 1967, in Phoenix, into the Black Streak Forest People Clan for the Mescalaro-Apache People Clan.

Wilson graduated from Wingate High School in 1985. He attended CIT in Crownpoint, and achieved degrees-one in automotive, and another in carpentry. Wilson then worked in Phoenix in the automotive business for 2 years. He worked in carpentry, electrical and plumbing, was employed with NHA for 2 years, NECA for 2 years, Route 66 Casino as a maintenance repair for 6 months, and a roofing company in Albuquerque. Before the time of his death, he helped his step-father (carpentry, plumbing and electrical). His hobbies included fishing, hunting, outdoor cooking, camping, watching movies and hiking.

Survivors include his sons, Lucas Wilson of Dalton Pass, N.M., Shane Wilson of Fort Defiance; mother, Marjorie Nez, step-father, Tom Nez, both of Littewater; brother, Fitzgerald Nez of Littlewater; sisters, Sharon J. Wilson, Charlotte J. Wilson, both of Smith Lake, Cheryl Wilson of Crownpoint; grandmother, Mary Tsosy of Belen; one grandchild.

Wilson was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Wilson; brother, Gerald Nez; grandfather, Kee Platero.

Pallbearers will be Fitzgerald Nez, Dion Dawes, Irvin Tom, Marshall Tom, Ryan Hardy, and Eddie Jones Jr.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Smith Lake Chapter, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Robert Yazzie Jr.

TWIN LAKES — Services are pending for Robert H. Yazzie Jr.

Yazzie died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, in Twin Lakes. He was born April 23, 1969, in Gallup, into the Towering House People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
