GALLUP — Everyone who saw the piece that won best of show at this year’s Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial said they had seen nothing like it before.

It was a Navajo weaving in red and blue but instead of using wool, the weaver, Julian Upshaw, used 100 percent silk.
